A three-day training programme on “Progeny Testing and Mechanization in Dairy Farming” was organised for Artificial Insemination (AI) Technicians of the Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, Gujarat, at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Baramati from March 6 to 8, 2026.

The programme aimed to strengthen the technical knowledge and practical skills of AI technicians involved in dairy development and cattle breeding activities.

Experts at the centre conducted detailed sessions on progeny testing methods, modern breeding practices, and the role of mechanization in enhancing dairy productivity and efficiency. Participants were also provided practical exposure to advanced dairy farming technologies and improved farm management techniques.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra Baramati is a district-level Farm Science Centre established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, at the Agricultural Development Trust in Baramati.
