A grand felicitation ceremony will be held on March 8, 2026, in Ahmedabad to honour senior cooperative leader Jyotindrabhai Mehta as he completes 75 years.
The event is being jointly organised by Sahakar Bharati, Gujarat Urban Co-operative Banks Federation, National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) and National Urban Co-operative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC).
The special function will take place at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Hall, Shahibaug, at 10:00 AM, in the presence of distinguished personalities from the cooperative sector.
Mehta began his journey as a founding member and dedicated grassroots worker of Sahakar Bharati and went on to serve as Gujarat State President and later National President of the organisation. His leadership is widely credited with strengthening and energising the cooperative movement across the country.
The ceremony aims to recognise his lifelong contribution to cooperative banking and grassroots institution-building. Several prominent leaders of national and state-level cooperative bodies are expected to attend.
