A three-day training programme for secretaries of dairy producer cooperative societies commenced on Thursday in Khargone under the National Dairy Development Programme. The programme is being jointly organized by the Indore Sahakari Dugdh Sangh Maryadit and the District Cooperative Union Khargone, and will continue until March 7.

The training was inaugurated by dairy union director B.P. Chauhan, Audit Officer Manoj Tank from the Cooperation Department, Senior Cooperative Inspector Basant Yadav, and CEO Omkar Yadav. During the inaugural session, participants were briefed on key aspects such as clean milk production, animal care, improving milk quality, and effective management of cooperative institutions.

Officials from the Cooperation Department also provided detailed guidance on the functioning of dairy cooperatives, accounting practices, audit procedures, and proper record maintenance.

Around 52 secretaries from dairy cooperative societies across the district are participating in the programme. The training will also cover topics including financial management, hygiene practices, animal health, and computer-based record keeping.
