A meeting of the District Cooperative Development Committee was held at the Collectorate Auditorium in Pithoragarh under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Bhatgain. The meeting reviewed the progress of various schemes being implemented by the Cooperative Department.

District Assistant Registrar Ankit Kumar presented updates on departmental initiatives, including the formation of e-PACS, operation of Jan Suvidha Kendras, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, and Kisan Samriddhi Kendras.

The District Magistrate directed officials to complete the conversion of all cooperative societies into e-PACS within a week.

He also instructed authorities to prepare a concrete plan to enhance business at Jan Suvidha Kendras to maximize rural outreach. Directions were issued to make the Jan Aushadhi Kendra at Berinag and veterinary medicine centres at Winchaisar and Dharchula operational at the earliest.

Emphasizing coordination among departments, the District Magistrate called for timely achievement of fertilizer distribution targets through Kisan Samriddhi Kendras to further strengthen the rural economy.
