In a significant development for farmers in eastern India, the Chairman of BISCOMAUN and NCCF, Vishal Singh, held a detailed meeting in New Delhi with Dr. S. P. Mohanty, Managing Director of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL). The discussions focused on fertilizer allocation for BISCOMAUN, the apex cooperative institution of Bihar.
During the meeting, the HURL Managing Director assured full support to all operational centres of BISCOMAUN across Bihar and Jharkhand. In addition to the existing eight districts, he directed officials to begin direct fertilizer supply from HURL plants to 10 more districts with immediate effect, ensuring improved availability for farmers.
Dr. Mohanty also launched the “Save the Soil” campaign in Bihar, urging farmers to reduce excessive use of chemical fertilizers. The initiative aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices and protect soil health for long-term productivity and environmental balance.
