Presenting the Rajasthan Budget for 2026–27 in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari announced a major boost to the state’s cooperative dairy sector, doubling the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Infrastructure Development Fund from Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,000 crore.

The move aims to accelerate dairy infrastructure, strengthen milk procurement networks, and enhance processing capacity across the state, giving a strong push to farmers and milk producers.

In another key announcement, Kumari said the state will invest Rs 100 crore to position the Saras brand as a high-quality national dairy brand. Saras outlets will be opened in NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states to expand market reach and brand visibility.

The finance minister also announced the opening of Cooperative Consumer Stores in newly created districts to improve access to essential commodities and strengthen the cooperative retail network.

The announcements underline the state government’s strategy to empower dairy farmers, expand cooperative infrastructure, and enhance Rajasthan’s footprint in the national dairy market.
