The National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) organised its Leadership Workshop 2026 at Kumarakom, Kerala, bringing together Regional Directors and Divisional Heads for focused deliberations on cooperative development.
Held under the leadership of NCDC Managing Director Pankaj Kumar Bansal, the workshop aimed at aligning regional and divisional action plans with the Corporation’s vision and policy priorities.
Bansal emphasised the need for improved operational efficiency, stronger institutional coordination, and outcome-oriented implementation to strengthen the cooperative sector across the country.
Key sessions during the workshop focused on enhancing internal processes, improving inter-departmental coordination, and building institutional capacity through structured discussions and interactive engagements. Special emphasis was laid on advancing initiatives linked to the Blue Economy, particularly in coastal and fisheries-based cooperative activities.
The workshop provided a platform for senior officers to review ongoing programmes, share regional experiences, and identify best practices for effective project execution. Deliberations also covered strategies to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth through cooperative institutions.
