Maharashtra State Cooperation Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Pune, Deepak Taware, recently visited Nandurbar district to review the progress of the Government of India–supported computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS). The visit aimed to assess on-ground implementation and ensure effective adoption of digital systems.

Taware visited the tribal multi-purpose cooperative societies at Visarwadi and Bharadu in Navapur taluka, where he inspected the ongoing computerisation work and provided guidance to society secretaries. He stated that computerisation would ensure faster access to crop loans for members, eliminate manual record-keeping, and help prevent misappropriation and financial irregularities.

Later in the evening, he reviewed the computerisation status of PACS in Nandurbar taluka. The following day, Taware held a review meeting with district officials, focusing on the implementation of e-Office and e-Module systems, and issued necessary instructions.

District Deputy Registrar Ravindra Patil, along with senior officers, bank officials, and cooperative society representatives, were present during the visit.
