The National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation has marked another milestone with the inauguration of a Janah Supermarket in Jaipur, strengthening the cooperative retail network and expanding access to quality consumer goods. The new outlet was inaugurated in the presence of the Rajasthan state cooperation minister, reflecting growing institutional support for cooperative-led retail initiatives.
The Janah Supermarket aims to offer pure, reliable, and affordable products to consumers while reinforcing trust in cooperative institutions. Designed as a modern retail format, the store focuses on transparency, quality assurance, and fair pricing, aligning with the core cooperative principles of member welfare and consumer interest.
NCCF officials stated that the Jaipur outlet is part of a broader strategy to scale up cooperative retail infrastructure across urban and semi-urban centres. By linking producers, cooperatives, and consumers directly, Janah Supermarkets seek to reduce intermediaries and ensure better value across the supply chain.
The launch underscores the role of cooperatives in promoting self-reliance and ethical consumption, while creating sustainable market platforms rooted in trust, purity, and collective ownership.
