Reinforcing its commitment to constructive engagement with government agencies and environmental stewardship, KRIBHCO extended its infrastructure support for the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB)–sponsored State-Level Sports Meet held at the KRIBHCO Sports Complex, KRIBHCO Nagar, Surat.
The event brought together senior officials from both organisations and served as a platform to promote fitness, camaraderie and sustainability. Prominent attendees included Shri P. Chandra Mohan, Executive Director (Operations), KRIBHCO Hazira Plant; R. B. Barad, Chairman, GPCB; D. M. Thakkar, Member Secretary, GPCB; and Arun G. Patel, Regional Officer, GPCB (Surat), along with other senior officers and staff members of KRIBHCO and GPCB.
Organised on the theme “Plastic Free,” the sports meet emphasised the importance of environmental awareness and responsible behaviour in day-to-day activities. Participants were encouraged to minimise plastic use and adopt eco-friendly practices, aligning with broader state and national sustainability goals.
By hosting the event, KRIBHCO underlined its role as a responsible corporate entity that actively supports initiatives promoting environmental protection and healthy lifestyles. The collaboration highlighted the shared vision of KRIBHCO and GPCB to integrate environmental consciousness with community engagement and employee well-being.
