The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) has booked four officials of the District Cooperative and Small Credit Committee, Mandla, for allegedly siphoning off Rs 65 lakh by tampering with official records, media reports say.
DG EOW Upendra Jain said officials altered a note sheet by deleting the prefix ‘non’, which changed a decision to reject a loan into an approval. The manipulation, carried out between 2011 and 2023, enabled loans to relatives and associates.
Investigators named then general manager Narendra Kori, establishment in-charge LN Yadav, accounts officer Atul Dubey, and current manager Sashi Choudhary. Probe continues further.
