At the Mega Cooperative Conference recently held by KRIBHCO in Rajkot, Gujarat, its leaders underscored the critical role of cooperatives in transforming India’s rural economy and empowering farmers.
Speaking at the event, V. Sudhakar Chowdary, Chairman, KRIBHCO, said KRIBHCO and other cooperative institutions are working with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home & Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah to ensure that farmers receive the rightful value of their produce without the intervention of middlemen.
“Our objective is to strengthen farmers’ income streams and deliver true value for their hard work,” he noted.
Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, Vice-Chairman, KRIBHCO, emphasized the importance of such gatherings in energizing the cooperative movement.
“Conferences like this enhance the strength of cooperatives and generate awareness among farmers and cooperators about new government schemes, giving further momentum to the Sahakar Andolan,” he said.
The conference revolved around the theme: “PACS as Multi-Purpose Hubs: Diversifying Services for Rural Economic Resilience,” reflecting the national vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi.”
The event brought together leading cooperative stakeholders committed to expanding PACS activities and accelerating rural development across Gujarat.
