Former Latur MLA and Chairman of Maharashtra Nagarik Sahakari Bank, Shivajirao Patil Kavekar, was conferred the prestigious Yashwant-Venu Samman on Thursday, alongside his wife, Pratibha Patil Kavekar.
The awards recognized their remarkable contributions to social education, politics, and visionary community work.
The ceremony, held in a packed hall, featured notable dignitaries including Nadho Mahanor, Balasaheb Thorat, Dilip Walse Patil, Yashwantrao Gadakh, and Sushil Kumar Shinde, all of whom have previously been honored with the Yashwant-Venu Samman.
Dr. Pandit Bha. Vidyasagar, Vice-Chancellor of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, presided over the event, with Dr. Shripal Sabnis as Chief Patron. Special guests included Padmashree Girish Prabhune and Sunitaraje Pawar. The lecture, “A Golden Page of Yashwantrao’s History,” was delivered by Bajirao Satpute.
