Nepal Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Thursday met Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Anil Sinha, senior officials from his office, the Problematic Cooperatives Management Committee, the Cooperatives Regulations Authority and representatives of victim depositors.
She made it clear that those involved in the cooperative scam “will not be spared at any cost.” Karki said the government is ready to amend laws if required to punish the culprits and end the suffering of depositors.
She added that deposits must be returned, even by auctioning the assets of the accused, calling justice for victims a priority.
