Leaders and members of cooperative societies under Sirsa Cooperative Marketing and Processing Society Ltd. have submitted a memorandum to the Hafed district manager, opposing the recent reduction in commission rates, media reports say.
Led by Chairman Rohtash Poonia, they termed Hafed’s decision unfair and damaging to cooperative sustainability.
The delegation demanded reversal of the cut in paddy commission to Rs 1.33 per quintal and sought higher rates for wheat, fertiliser, and anganwadi transport. They warned that if their demands were ignored, state-wide protests could follow.
