Demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility, Maharashtra-based Satara District Central Cooperative Bank has contributed a total of Rs 1 crore 22 lakh 56 thousand to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The cheque was formally handed over to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde by the bank’s Chairman Nitin Patil, Vice-Chairman Anil Desai, who was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Sarkale and other board members of the bank.

The amount comprises Rs 1 crore from the bank’s profits and Rs 22.56 lakh collected from the allowances of board members and contributions from employees’ salaries.

The donation aims to provide assistance to farmers, laborers, and the general public affected by the recent heavy rains and floods across Maharashtra.

This gesture by the cooperative bank reflects its deep sense of social responsibility and conveys a strong message of unity and solidarity in times of distress.
