The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) is set to hold its 68th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) today at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, Auditorium No.1, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The meeting, scheduled to commence at 11:00 A.M., will be presided over by Jethabhai Ahir, Chairman of NAFED and Deputy Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
The AGM will witness the participation of senior government officials, cooperative leaders, and key stakeholders from the agriculture sector, who will deliberate on NAFED’s performance, future strategies, and the role of cooperatives in strengthening India’s agri-marketing ecosystem.
NAFED, a premier apex cooperative in agricultural marketing, has played a crucial role in safeguarding farmers’ interests through procurement operations, price stabilization measures, and promotion of farmer-centric initiatives.
Extensive arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the AGM.
This year’s meeting holds special significance as it coincides with the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, underscoring the growing role of cooperatives in building a resilient and inclusive agricultural economy.
