For the Indian Cooperative team, witnessing several cooperatives holding their respective AGMs simultaneously was nothing short of remarkable. Invited by veteran cooperator Dileep Sanghani, the team was impressed by the seamless conduct of multiple AGMs at the newly acquired, sprawling campus of Amar Dairy.
Overseen by Ashwinbhai, Chairman of Amul Dairy, and IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar, the campus has become a vibrant hub for cooperative activities. The Annual General Meetings of four key cooperative institutions of Amreli district—Amreli District Cooperative Union, Amreli District Central Cooperative Bank, AMR Dairy, and Amreli District Cooperative Purchase & Sale Union—were conducted alongside several service and credit societies.
Young and dynamic cooperator Manish Sanghani, chairman of the district co-op union, could be seen rushing around, adding final touches to preparations before the arrival of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Addressing the gathering, Patel lauded the cooperative growth of the district and encouraged farmers to embrace the “local for vocal” initiative. Yogendra Kumar urged a shift away from chemical fertilizers to protect soil health, while IFFCO MD K J Patel highlighted the remarkable expansion of cooperatives in the region, attributing it to the visionary leadership of Dileep Sanghani.
Expressing his gratitude to the Chief Minister for attending, Sanghani remarked that cooperatives are experiencing a golden era under Bhupendra Patel’s leadership, with the support of PM Modi and HM Amit Shah.
The event offered a unique glimpse into cooperative management, an experience seldom seen in typical town-level AGMs.
