Kerala’s Thrissur is set to witness a landmark initiative in the field of education and public service preparation. Under the aegis of the Indian Cooperative Credit Society Ltd. (ICCSL), the Anant IAS Academy, in collaboration with the Thrissur District Panchayat, has launched the ambitious “One Civil Servant (IAS/IPS) per Panchayat” project.
Announcing the program, ICCSL Chairman Dr. Sojan V. Avirachan expressed his full support and commitment to the initiative. He revealed that the project will provide scholarships worth Rs 5 crore to 5,000 students, enabling them to prepare for the prestigious civil services examinations free of cost.
This is the first project of its kind in India, offering an entire district’s students a no-cost opportunity to pursue their civil service aspirations. Dr. Avirachan emphasized that ICCSL takes pride in making such a transformative opportunity possible.
The initiative is designed to uplift financially disadvantaged students who dream of entering the civil services but are often held back due to economic challenges. The society’s vision is to nurture a larger pool of civil servants from Thrissur and contribute to the nation’s development, a Facebook post by ICCSL read.
Dr. Avarachan reaffirmed that ICCSL will extend all necessary support to ensure the success of this pathbreaking program.
