Shilpi Arora, a veteran cooperator and social activist from Uttarakhand, has been elected as a Director of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), marking the first time a woman from the northern state holds this position.
KRIBHCO, one of India’s largest multi-state cooperative organizations, plays a crucial role in serving millions of farmers by providing fertilizers, seeds, and agricultural products.
Arora has over two decades of experience advocating for farmers’ and women’s welfare and was active during the farmers’ protests at Ghazipur.
She also serves as Founder Chairperson of FICCI FLO Uttarakhand and State President of Punjabi Mahila Mahasabha, reinforcing her dedication to cooperative development.
