The Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Union (APSCU), along with the District Cooperative Union (DCU), Bichom, organized a sensitization programme for cooperative stakeholders in Bichom on Monday, media reports say.
Assistant registrar of cooperative societies T.J. Lama briefed participants on government welfare schemes, the registration process, and the potential of cooperatives in income and employment generation, especially in dairy and fisheries.
APSCU education officer K.R. Kamki explained the structure, advantages, and steps to form ideal cooperatives. DCU chairman Nichang Jangju stressed the need for hands-on training, while vice chairman Vickey Longthin said the programme would benefit the newly created district.
