Dr. U.S. Awasthi, who retired as the Managing Director of IFFCO on 31st July 2025, will be felicitated in a grand farewell ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, today, along with Smt. Rekha Awasthi, President of Jagriti Ladies Club, IFFCO.
The event has been organized to honour Dr. Awasthi’s decades-long contribution to India’s cooperative movement and his transformative leadership at IFFCO. Under his stewardship, IFFCO rose to become one of the world’s largest fertilizer cooperatives.
The ceremony will also recognize the vital role played by Smt. Rekha Awasthi in championing various welfare initiatives through the Jagriti Ladies Club, which has consistently worked for the betterment of IFFCO families and society at large.
The farewell is expected to be attended by cooperators cutting across sectors, dignitaries, IFFCO officials, and well-wishers. IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani has personally extended invitations to all. The event aims to celebrate not just a career, but a legacy of commitment, empowerment, and cooperative excellence. The programme will begin at 11:00 AM.
