The Amanath cooperative scam has caused dissension to jump up to the fore in the ruling congress party in Karnataka.
The two important party leaders union minister for minority affairs K.Rahman Khan and ex-railway minister CK Jaffar Sharief areat daggers drawn.
Sharief has called for the CBI enquiry into the scandal and charged the state govt with being insensitive in the matter.
The bank has been financially beleaguered and all its transactions have been stopped by the RBI.
Mr Khan who happens to be one of the founders of the bank was at the helm when the irregular transactions involving Rs 110 crore took place.
