Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar concluded his two-day visit to Meghalaya, emphasizing the Centre’s push for inclusive development in remote regions, media reports say.

He reviewed flagship schemes like PMAY, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Lakhpati Didi, stressing the need for digital monitoring, transparency, and Centre-State coordination. Gurjar lauded Meghalaya’s progress and underscored grassroots feedback as vital for policy refinement.

He highlighted the establishment of Tribhuvan Sahkari University for cooperative education and reiterated the Ministry’s target of forming two lakh multipurpose PACS. Addressing land-related challenges, he called for development rooted in environmental sensitivity and community participation, urging Khasi Hills to become a model for Viksit Bharat.
