In a significant step aimed at revitalizing the cooperative sector in Madhya Pradesh, Cooperative Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inaugurated the ‘CPPP Investment Promotion Wing’ at the office of the Cooperative Commissioner located in Vindhyachal Bhawan.

Designed to function as a single-window system for dialogue, consultation, and approvals, the new wing features a dedicated contact and reception area to assist investors, farmers, and cooperative societies seeking support and information.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sarang emphasized that cooperatives play a pivotal role in strengthening the grassroots economy and contributing to national development. He highlighted that the Cooperative Public Private Partnership (CPPP) model being implemented in Madhya Pradesh has garnered widespread appreciation and is poised to usher in a new revolution in the sector.

He added that the newly launched wing will simplify various procedures related to cooperative activities and investments, creating a more integrated and transparent environment for all stakeholders. Referring to the broader vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047, Sarang underlined the critical contribution of cooperatives in realizing this national aspiration.

He noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has been implementing the ‘Prosperity through Cooperation’ approach effectively, with the CPPP model emerging as a benchmark at the national level.

The Minister recalled that the CPPP concept was introduced during the Global Investors Summit, leading to the signing of 19 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth nearly Rs 2,305 crore with major players such as Reliance, Baidyanath, and Majestic Basmati Rice.

He explained that the model enables cooperative institutions, including Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), to collaborate with private investors, thereby boosting farmers’ incomes through better price realization and expanded economic activity. For private enterprises, it ensures access to high-quality raw materials directly from rural producers.

Sarang also revealed that the central government has taken note of the success of Madhya Pradesh’s CPPP initiative and is considering its replication at the national level. He reiterated that the model not only improves the financial sustainability of cooperatives but also promotes local employment generation by facilitating rural-urban economic linkages.

The launch event witnessed the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal, Cooperative Commissioner Manoj Pushp, and Managing Director of the Marketing Federation Alok Kumar Singh.

Representatives from partner companies like Reliance, Pratibha Syntex, and Mushroom World also attended. Shri Ambrish Vaidya, the Wing’s Nodal Officer, thanked all participants for their support and encouragement.
