Officials from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) visited the godown under construction by the Taluk Agricultural Produce Marketing Cooperative Society (TAPCMS) near Hosapete Circle in Magadi town, located in Bengaluru South District.

On this occasion, TAPCMS President Shivaprasad stated that the godown is being built at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 crore, and a request has been submitted to the Central Government’s NCDC for a loan of Rs 2 crore. Following this, the team of officials visited the site, assessed the society’s operations, and assured that the loan would be sanctioned.

The godown is expected to have a storage capacity of around 2,300 metric tonnes and is scheduled for completion within the next five months.

He further added that a Ragi Procurement Centre will be launched in Magadi next year to support and benefit local farmers.
