The Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC) has announced the official theme for the 2025 International Day of Cooperatives (CoopsDay): “Cooperatives: Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Solutions for a Better World.”
Set to be celebrated on 5 July 2025, this year’s CoopsDay carries special significance as it coincides with the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives (IYC 2025).
The theme underscores the vital role cooperatives play in tackling today’s global challenges, by offering people-centered, sustainable, and democratic models for development.
CoopsDay 2025 aims to raise awareness of how cooperatives contribute to building a more equitable and resilient world.
Organizers have launched a media kit, updated CoopsDay logo in multiple languages, and an event platform for global participation. Cooperatives are encouraged to share their stories and event details.
