NAFED signed an MoU with Canara Bank on 2nd June 2025 to become a Sub-KYC User Agency (Sub-KUA) and Sub-Authentication User Agency (Sub-AUA) under UIDAI.
This collaboration enables Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) through AEPS and APBS platforms. By integrating Aadhaar-enabled systems in procurement operations, the initiative aims to boost transparency, reduce leakages, and ensure efficient fund disbursement to farmers and stakeholders.
This marks a key step under the Government of India’s “Sahakar Se Samriddhi” vision, aligning cooperative institutions with digital governance and inclusive financial empowerment.
The partnership is also part of NAFED’s broader participation in the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) 2025 celebrations, showcasing innovation in agri-cooperative practices.
