Himanshu Bhatt has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Baroda Dairy, replacing Ajaykumar Joshi, who resigned citing health reasons. Bhatt, a senior official from the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), brings 27 years of experience in commercial and product management.
Joshi will remain in an advisory role until June 30 to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
However, Joshi’s exit has stirred political controversy following BJP MLA Ketan Inamdar’s allegations of financial irregularities involving payments made to deceased milk producers from Merakuva village, media reports claim.
An official probe is underway. Joshi maintained the issue was a clerical error, not a scam, and added he is willing to face any consequences if found guilty by the District Registrar’s inquiry.
