PACS-run CSCs boost rural services in Bihar
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

In a tweet, the Ministry has asserted that the Common Service Centres (CSCs) operated through Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in Bihar are transforming rural access to public services.

Currently, 4,316 PACS-run CSCs offer over 300 services locally, reducing the need for villagers to travel to urban areas. In the initiative’s first phase, 4,477 PACS were computerized, and 5,987 have received CSC IDs.

These centres provide services like railway, bus, and air bookings, along with issuing Ayushman, e-Shram, PAN, and Aadhaar cards. Transactions have already exceeded Rs 4.5 crore.

State Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar praised the initiative, calling it vital for rural empowerment. Registrar Inayat Khan urged swift implementation in pending PACS and transfer of CSC IDs to current managers.
