Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL) organized a two-day “Managerial Excellence and Business Development Training Program” for the directors of Souharda Cooperatives on 20th and 21st May 2025.
The chief guest was Shashidhar P, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Bengaluru.
He emphasized that training is essential for growth at every level. Highlighting the core principles of Souharda—autonomy, self-governance, and self-control—he noted that the training was timely and relevant. He urged directors to ensure lawful administration and to make collective decisions for the cooperative’s progress.
G. Nanjana Gowda, President of KSSFCL, stressed that education and training are vital to Souharda Cooperatives. He encouraged directors and presidents to take responsibility for improving the quality of cooperative operations, urging them to participate transparently and professionally.
The training was inaugurated by Smt. Gagana K, Deputy Registrar and Presiding Officer of Davapanchayat Nyayalaya. She underscored the importance of planning, organizing, staffing, and decision-making, urging participants to stay aware of societal changes and act accordingly.
Shridhar, Director of KSSFCL, emphasized the need for continuous education and the use of modern technology to improve performance. He called for organized, dedicated efforts from directors, staff, and members alike.
B.S. Gundurao, Director of KSSFCL, added that the training programs conducted by KSSFCL are of high quality and benefit many directors. He praised the cooperative experts for delivering insightful sessions and urged all to work toward improving the overall standard of Souharda organizations.
The training covered a range of essential topics including financial discipline, business development planning, internal relations, human values, cyber security, managerial excellence, and cooperative leadership. Sessions were led by expert resource persons.
Shridar, AGM of KSSFCL, welcomed the guests, and Kavitha R, Officer of KSSFCL, gave the vote of thanks. The event saw active participation from 69 representatives representing 42 Souharda Cooperatives.
