Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the increase in cooperative bank loan disbursals from Rs 9,190 crore in 2017 to over Rs 23,000 crore in 2025 as a “remarkable achievement.”
Chairing a high-level review, he stressed modernising cooperative banks, ensuring affordable farm credit, and implementing the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana swiftly.
Emphasising cooperatives’ role in empowering farmers, he directed officials to expand NABARD’s involvement, boost warehouse capacity, and enhance transparency.
He also called for swift recruitment via IBPS and integration of co-op banks with NABARD’s CBS cloud to strengthen digital infrastructure and service delivery.
