The Delhi Government has instructed all cooperative societies in the city to conduct cleanliness drives under the “Swachh Delhi, Vikshit Delhi” campaign, reports the New Indian Express.
The directive, issued by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, covers housing societies, urban banks, credit societies, federations, and multi-state cooperatives. Societies must clean their premises and surrounding areas, hold awareness activities, and submit photographic proof to the Registrar’s Policy Branch.
This initiative aligns with the UN’s declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives, themed “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” announced by the Prime Minister.
