In the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the first meeting of the State Apex Committee (SAC) of the Cooperation Department was held on Thursday at the Chief Minister’s residence.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister provided valuable guidance on various aspects of the functioning of cooperative institutions.

Addressing the participants, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of bringing transparency to the operations of cooperative institutions, safeguarding the interests of their members, and ensuring the effective implementation of various schemes.

He directed the officials to take necessary actions to enhance transparency and efficiency within these institutions and to focus on the welfare of the members.

The meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening the cooperative sector in the state, with a clear focus on better governance and sustainable growth.

The Rajasthan government has provided significant relief to farmers and borrowers linked with Cooperative Land Development Banks by implementing the Chief Minister Interest Relief One-Time Settlement Scheme 2025-26.

This scheme is in line with the announcement made by the Chief Minister in the state budget.

The scheme will remain effective until September 30, 2025. Eligible borrowers must deposit at least 25% of their due amount by June 30, 2025. The remaining balance can be paid in up to three instalments within the scheme’s period.

Additionally, relief will be provided on the outstanding amount of Awadhipar loans as of July 1, 2024, with full waiver of the interest and other charges up to March 31, 2025. However, no relief will be offered on the principal amount or insurance premiums.

For more information on the scheme, borrowers are advised to contact the relevant branch of the bank.
