Union Ministry of Cooperation Secretary Ashish Kumar Bhutani chaired a high-level meeting to assess the progress of the “Sahakar Taxi” initiative, a pioneering move aimed at strengthening the cooperative ecosystem in the transportation sector.
During the review, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) delivered a detailed presentation outlining the initiative’s concept, its key stakeholders, and strategic objectives.
The presentation emphasized how “Sahakar Taxi” aims to empower cooperative societies and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The meeting was also attended by Pankaj Kumar Bansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, alongside senior officials from both the Ministry and NCDC. The discussion focused on aligning implementation strategies and ensuring collaborative efforts to drive the initiative forward effectively.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging cooperative models to promote inclusive growth and generate employment at the grassroots level.
