During his visit to Bihar, NABARD Chairman Shri Shaji K.V. engaged in an extensive discussion on the challenges faced by District Cooperative Banks and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).
The focus was on providing financial assistance to PACS managers for operating computerization initiatives. Additionally, there was a detailed review of the central government’s schemes related to the cooperative sector.
Suggestions were made on Bihar State Cooperative Bank’s activities in the areas of Core Banking Solutions (CBS) and IT, with an emphasis on enhancing NABARD’s support in these areas. A request was also raised for the establishment of a NABARD training center dedicated to Bihar.
Present at the event were the chairpersons of Arrah, Gopalganj, Patliputra, and Vaishali Central Cooperative Banks, along with the Managing Director and General Manager of Bihar State Cooperative Bank.
