The Pune city police have registered an offence against IPS officer Bhagyashree Navtake, following directions from the state Home Department.
Navtake, who served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Economic Offences Wing and Cyber) between 2020 and 2022, led several high-profile investigations, including the Rs 1,200 crore scam involving the Jalgaon-based Bhaichand Hirachand Raisoni (BHR) State Cooperative Credit Society.
The society allegedly lured thousands with lucrative investment schemes but failed to deliver returns, leading to over 80 lodged offences and arrests of BHR directors.
