The largest cooperative brand in India, the Kerala State Cooperative Bank, is featured on the homepage of Indian Cooperative, the only news portal dedicated to the cooperative sector. The top cooperative brand chose to feature on Indian Cooperative after recognizing its widespread reach not only in Kerala but also across the country.

It is worth noting that the Kerala State Cooperative Bank has emerged as the largest cooperative entity in India in terms of total business, surpassing other cooperative giants such as GCMMF, IFFCO, Kribhco, Saraswat Bank, and others.

The rise of the Kerala State Cooperative Bank to the top position is attributed to the merger of the District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) with the apex bank in the state.

As of March 31, 2024, the business mix of Kerala StCB stood at Rs 1.16 lakh crore, while another major cooperative brand, GCMMF, which sells its products under the brand name Amul, recorded a business mix of approximately Rs 80,000 crore. The total business of Saraswat Bank and IFFCO stood at Rs 82,024 crore and Rs 39,330 crore, respectively, as of March 31, 2024.
