In Maharashtra’s Beed, two officials from Dnyanradha Cooperative Multi-State Credit Society were arrested for allegedly defrauding depositors, reports PTI.
The arrested include Chairman Suresh Kute and Joint Director Ashish Patodekar, who were apprehended near Pune by Beed police.
The arrests followed a complaint by a farmer who claimed his fixed deposit of Rs 3.5 lakh was not returned upon maturity. Further probe is underway, the official said.
