The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has issued a notification for the export of Non-Basmati White Rice to Mauritius through National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL).
The notification released on Monday reads, “In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 and in accordance with the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government permits the export of Non-Basmati White Rice to Mauritius, totaling 14,000 Metric Tons (MT) through NCEL”.
“The export of 14,000 MT of non basmati white rice to Mauritius has been permitted through NCEL”, it further reads.
