Free Press Journal reports, the Vice President and Secretary of Mumbai Nagrik Sahakari Patsanstha, a cooperative credit society, were arrested recently for defrauding depositors of their crores of rupees by promising them huge returns.
Both lower and higher courts have denied both the accused anticipatory bail .
An inquiry detected a swindle of Rs 7 crore through the cooperative credit society.
A 57 year old woman had made a complaint already in October in 2023.
