Sahakar Bharati congratulated Nafscob Managing Director Bhima Subrahmanyam on his re-election as the President of International Cooperative Banking Association (ICBA) of ICA.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative, Satish Marathe who is in Europe currently said, “Sahakar Bharati heartily congratulates on his Re election! A doyen of the CoOperative Sector, he makes Bharat proud. We wish him All The Very Best.”
The election was held in the ICBA General Assembly held on Wednesday in Kathmandu, Nepal. The board comprises 8 persons from all ICA regions.
Earlier, in 2019 in Rwanda, Bhima had first been elected as ICBA’s President.
ICBA was established in 1922 with a membership of 7 European consumer cooperative banks. ICBA’s aim is to exchange information, promote cooperation among cooperative banks, advise and assist the development of new cooperative banks, carry out studies and research on subjects of common interest and several other things.
