According to the New Indian Express reports, the Odisha government has stopped the management of cooperative societies selling off immovable property without its approval.
The move has come in the wake of reports that the management of some societies are planning to sell off their property in an improper and irregular manner.
The state govt has issued this order as per the Odisha Cooperative Societies Act, and in public interest.
