Media reports from Andhra Pradesh say AP. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stressed the importance of cooperatives in strengthening the rural economy in the state. The chief minister remarked while taking a review meeting of the cooperative department.
Cooperatives can offer low interest loans thereby encouraging agricultural activities and empowering women, said the chief minister.
Reddy added that the network of cooperative banks need to be expanded to reach every village in the state.
