According to Blitz reports, 17491 cooperative bodies have been abolished in Bihar.
There are now only 25487 cooperative societies left in the state. Earlier, there were a total of 42985 cooperative societies in the state.
Following the division of Bihar, there was no reason for many cooperative institutions to exist.
