With an aim to achieve Prosperity thru’ co-ops as envisioned by the Prime Minister of India, Dileep Sanghani, President, NCUI chaired a meeting titled ‘Building Cooperative -Social-Corporate Partnerships for Prosperity Through Cooperatives’ at Skill Development Centre, Noida.

Senior executives of national level organisations like Art of Living, HCL Foundation, Ethics Group of Companies, Schneider Electric and Hitachi India confirmed financial support under CSR for establishing training infrastructure and providing resources for running training programs at the Center.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative, Sanghani said that the place would be developed into one of the finest training centers for cooperatives not only in India but also in the world. The impressive building of the Training Center stands proudly in the Noida SEZ area.

Through the collaboration with NCUI, VVKI of Art of Living has brought renowned private sector players for running training programs at the Center on plumbing, electrician, refrigeration, etc. The HCL Foundation has joined hands with NCUI to develop training infrastructure, market platforms and branding support to SHGs and cooperatives across India.

Over the course of the next three years, more than 5000 participants, including women, youth and artisans from marginalized communities will be mobilized for sustainable income-generating opportunities and 90% of the trained youth will be placed in the private sector and other relevant organizations.

All project participants would be equipped with concepts of financial and digital literacy; and would have access to regular health check-ups and awareness sessions. More than 200 SHGs would be nurtured, with the total number of members reaching over 3000. 50 Multi-purpose cooperatives will be formed.
