Sahakar Bharati inaugurated its state office in Ahmedabad on Sunday with an aim to cater to the needs of the co-op movement in the state of Gujarat.
Veteran cooperator and Speaker of Gujarat Vidhan Sabha Shankarbhai Choudhari inaugurated the office. Jagdish Vishvakarma, the Co-operative Minister in the state also accompanied him.
Top officials of Sahakar Bharati were also present on this occasion which included founder member Satish Marathe, its President DN Thakur, senior leader Jyotindra Mehta, among others. Ajay Patel, Chairman of Gujarat State Co-op Bank also graced the occasion.
So far Sahakar Bharati has set up its office in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam and now Gujarat.
Its officials claim that it has a presence in 400 districts across states.
