IFFCO’s Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi was at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie on Wednesday, coaching IAS probationers on Nano Urea, an indigenous fertilizer product which is catching the global imagination.
Since todays’ probationers are tomorrow’s DMs it was pertinent that the IFFCO MD chose to brief them on the efficacy of Nano range of products, said an IFFCO official. Tomorrow when they take charge of a district, they will interact with village folks and guide them into the right kind of farming, he added.
In his interaction, among others, Awasthi also discussed in detail the co-operative model of development, different from both command and capitalist economies.
Tweeting about his visit Dr Awasthi wrote “Today, I gave a presentation at IAS Training institute Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration to all IAS officers. I shared the story of IFFCO as a Successful Experiment in Cooperative Organisations.”
In his second tweet Awasthi said “I talked about Innovation of the century World’s 1st Nano Urea by IFFCO during my presentation at IAS Training institute Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration”.
