No proposal for separate Cooperative Logo: Amit Shah
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

There is no proposal under consideration in this Ministry to launch a separate Cooperative Logo Mark”, said Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah while giving a reply to a query raised by Lok Sabha member Mohanbhai Kundariya.

“Cooperative societies may adopt their own logo, as a Brand Line to promote their Cooperative produce. For example some scheduled (under Schedule II of MSCS Act 2002) Cooperative Societies like IFFCO, KRIBHCO, etc. have their own logo”, Shah’s reply further read.

He added, “Cooperative societies function as autonomous economic entities, at the State and Multi State levels. Incorporation, Regulation and Winding-up of cooperative societies at State level is done by State Registrar of Cooperative Societies as per the State Cooperative Acts and at Multi-State level It is done by Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies, as per the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002”.
