Maharashtra government has postponed the cooperative elections till 20th December 2022 due to the ongoing elections to 7,751 state gram panchayats.
The office order in this regard was released on 29th November 2022. It is reported that the elections in more than 1200 co-ops have been postponed through this order.
Meanwhile, it is learned that the dates announced for the elections for the post of Chairman and Vice-Chairman in the Maharashtra Urban Cooperative Banks Federation (MUCBF) and Maharashtra State Cooperative Banks Association (MSCBA) will remain intact.
The elections in MUCBF and MSCBA are scheduled for 8th December 2022 and 9th December 2022 respectively.
